We caught the barcelona to palma ferry last Monday 1st March. We thought we had booked a reclining seat but this hadn't been reserved. We had to spend the night on a cafe chair and on the floor. We are pensioners and this was awful. There were so many people lying on the floor all over the ship, it was terrible. There were only 2 toilets for men and 2 for women for hundreds of people. They obviously became disgusting. We were supposed to dock at 6am but arrived, after a very calm crossing, at 8.30. My husband cut his hand on the door leading to the exit to deck. The metal was bent and sharp. I later caught my coat on it. My husband tried to get a plaster as his finger was bleeding profusely but at the 24 hr reception there was nobody. He rang the bell many times but no one appeared. Even at 7am there was still no one at reception. Also at 7am drilling started in the curtained off area of the cafe where refurbishment was taking place. It was unbelievable! I have given one star for a calm crossing! Dreadful experience.
