— UPDATE December 5 —
In their public reply, TravelBusinessClass states that they “never refused to release the refunded airline funds.”
This is objectively untrue.
We have repeatedly and explicitly requested that TBC immediately forward the airline-refunded amounts — and as of today, THEY STILL HAVE NOT SENT THE FUNDS BACK TO US, despite having received them from multiple airlines months ago.
TBC also claims we “preferred to wait for a complete resolution.”
That is false. We asked in writing for immediate return of any refunded amounts as they were received. TBC ignored or deflected those requests every time.
We stand by our original review and will update this page as regulatory investigations progress.----
ORIGINAL REVIEW
Our family had to cancel an international trip due to a severe medical emergency. What followed with TravelBusinessClass.com (TBC) was one of the most unethical customer service experiences we’ve ever encountered.
After notifying them of the medical situation, TBC refused to cancel or submit refund requests unless we signed a coercive settlement agreement restricting our rights, waiving disputes, and prohibiting us from posting honest reviews. We later learned that this agreement was not required by any airline—it was entirely for TBC’s protection. We declined to sign, and after days of pressure, they finally handled the cancellations.
Some airlines refunded money directly to TBC, yet TBC has refused to transfer those refunded amounts to us.
Even worse, TBC took several thousand dollars in undisclosed fees—none of which were explained before purchase and which they now refuse to itemize or refund. Had we known these fees existed, we would never have booked through them.
Repeated attempts to get a simple accounting of what portion of our $24,300.78 they kept have been met with evasive answers and shifting explanations. They continue to insist that they are “not permitted” to disclose the amount they retained, which makes no sense—this is our money, not proprietary airline data.
We have now filed complaints with multiple consumer protection authorities.
One more note: after reading other reviews here, it’s difficult not to notice how many of the 5-star reviews use nearly identical phrasing. Prospective customers can decide for themselves what that means.
Bottom line: avoid this agency. Hidden fees, withheld refunds, and pressure tactics during a medical crisis are not acceptable business practices.
