On September 20, 2021 I purchased a trip with Tauck to go to Yellowstone Park with my wife in September 2023. Beginning in June of 2023 I began to have vision issues. This was blurred vision, dried eye, redness. I visited my Optometrist and was diagnosed with dry eye. As I progressed thru treatments my vision was still blurred. I worried that a trip to Yellowstone with biking, white water rafting, and hiking was not going to be much fun with my condition. I cancelled the trip with Tauck and submitted a claim with AON. Documentation for my claim as well as medical records are attached. AON rejected my claim indicating that I was not disabled for travel. I am not disabled but was vision impaired. The AON agent indicated that having my doctor check the box for disability would get my claim paid. The agent also indicated that this claim would not be shared with the DMV. A claim with a box checked for vision issues and AON wont share that with the DMV. I pursued the claim with AON with no satisfaction. I continued to go to the doctor(s) as my I was still having vision issues. With steroids my vision is improving. I have cloudiness in my eyes and had surgery on my right eye on September 20, 2023. Surgery for me left eye is October 4, 2023. What fun would a trip be to Yellowstone with blurred vision and not able to enjoy biking, rafting, and hiking. I am asking that my travel claim be paid and my travel costs reimbursed.
