As another reviewer noted, had there been a choice for less than one star, that would have been my rating. After resending the same documents several times, I finally received a form letter declining coverage. My wife and I had booked flights in July 2022 to Copenhagen to attend a conference in Sweden in Sept 2022. My wife had been diagnosed with Early On-set Alzheimer's the previous year, but since that time we had traveled by air four (4) times, the most recent being in August 2022 to Seattle, WA. However, after returning from that trip and prior to our trip to Copenhagen, it was clear my wife's anxiety from the Alzheimer's was such that we would not be able to make the trip to Copenhagen. I canceled our flights and submitted a claim as instructed. The claim was denied because my wife had had treatment for the Alzheimer's prior to having booked the flights. I guess this means she will be discriminated against for the remaining portion of her life. Yes, she had been medicated for the symptoms of Alzheimer's. And, the effectiveness of those medications is what in part allowed her to travel those four previous times. What a waste of money to have chosen to purchase the insurance. I would never recommend that anyone purchase travel insurance through AON Affinity. So impersonal. Clearly looking for a manner by which to deny claims.DON'T PURCHASE TRAVEL INSURANCE FROM AON AFFINITY.
