I purchased insurance through Travel Guard for a trip booked via Expedia, and when I needed support, both companies were extremely disappointing. My hotel and flights were cancelled due to the US–Iran conflict, yet Travel Guard denied my claim despite the situation being completely outside my control. The communication was slow, unhelpful, and felt like neither company was willing to take responsibility or support a customer during a stressful travel disruption. The policy exclusions were applied in a way that made the coverage feel meaningless when you actually need it. In my experience, the insurance offered no real protection, and the process wasted a significant amount of time. I won’t be purchasing insurance from Travel Guard or booking through Expedia again, and I would encourage others to read the fine print very carefully before spending their money.
