My experience with Travelodeal was extremely disappointing and, frankly, unacceptable—especially given that this trip was meant to celebrate my husband and my 24th wedding anniversary.
Before booking, the representative was persistent, highly responsive, and followed up almost daily to secure the sale. We were even persuaded to pay more than the advertised price under the claim that it was a “better deal.” However, once the booking was completed, the level of service declined drastically.
In January 2026, I underwent an emergency hip replacement. I contacted Travelodeal in early February to explain that I would not be medically cleared in time for our April trip to Egypt. What followed was weeks of delayed responses, lack of urgency, and poor communication. The same representative who had been so attentive prior to the sale became unresponsive, taking weeks to reply and offering little to no assistance.
After I submitted a doctor’s note confirming my medical condition, the original representative completely disappeared without explanation. I was then handed off to another representative, forcing me to repeatedly follow up just to confirm they had even received my documentation. This level of disorganization and disregard for a customer dealing with a serious medical issue is unacceptable.
To make matters worse, I was not asking for a refund—only a reasonable accommodation to reschedule the trip once I had recovered from major surgery. Instead, after the original travel date passed, I was simply told that nothing could be done. No flexibility, no empathy, and no accountability.
This experience reflects a company that is highly motivated to make a sale but unwilling to support its customers when legitimate issues arise. The lack of professionalism, compassion, and basic customer service is deeply concerning.
I would strongly caution others against booking with Travelodeal.
