My experience with Trichstop was positive. I learned a lot about the triggers of my unwanted hair pulling habits and became comfortable with the fact that I struggle with trich. I let go of a lot of shame and tension I had about obsessively hiding this part of my life. My Trichstop therapist Vedrana (who was so caring and encouraging) helped me recognize and address a lot of the underlying anxiety/negativity of my condition and then supported me in exploring healthier, more accepting responses. I thought the modules were released at a good pace. Sadly I didn't complete the program all the way (I think I had one or two modules to go) because my financial situation changed... But if you can afford it, I highly recommend giving it a try at least, especially if you're dedicated to completing the program and putting in the consistent work. The important thing is that this program works if you work at it. The effort you put in will affect the results you see in yourself. That means you need to keep up with the weekly self-assessment, daily hair-pulling log, regular chats with your Trichstop therapist, maybe even attend a group session, and *definitely* practice the steps you learn through each module before moving on to the next. You'll have many opportunities to be introspective and get honest about uncomfortable things related to hair pulling, your emotions, and most likely your past, so don't avoid these parts (these are important parts of the process). If I could do this program over again I would make sure to dedicate more time and intention -- at least 5-15 mins every day to it, instead of only fully using it when my pulling got "bad". I wish I would have been more consistent with it through the entire program. When using the tools provided in the program, I found the desktop version to be better than the app, because the desktop user experience feels less cluttered (at least to me). The more modules you complete, the more tools you'll have available to you -- all of them are useful and necessary, but personally I just didn't like having to dig for each one in the mobile app; it got kind of overwhelming. Trichstop has a lot of potential and I'd love to see them make this program more affordable for people who need it. I'd love to do it again and complete the full program once I have the means to do so. Overall I recommend it to anyone struggling with trich!
