Steer clear of Triumph Insurance

I found my way to Triumph Insurance through a comparison website. What I did not realise was that I was actually dealing with Adrian Flux and the underwriters of the Policy, Markerstudy. Just look at their feedback on Trustpilot. I wonder if Triumph and Adrian Flux approve of the way their customers are treated by Markerstudy? When I exercised my right to cancel, before the Policy had begun and still within the cooling-off period for online purchases, I have been charged a ‘fee’ of what equates to 43% of the total cost of the Policy, which I had paid in full.I used a comparison website when looking to insure my Triumph, it seemed logical to choose Triumph Insurance, even though their quote was not the lowest. However, it has been my misfortune to have Markerstudy as under writers. I was horrified after reading the reviews on the firm, but not surprised. Not only is their customer contact appalling, but it would also seem this company just want your money.Today I received an ominous sounding email, stating: We have checked the details you provided when you set up your bike policy online, and have some concerns about the accuracy of the information provided. It's important that you read the attachment and contact us urgently. When I called, the representative from Markerstudy accused me of not declaring a non-fault car accident and therefore, adding this amendment would incur a charge of almost £60. She dismissed my point that when I took out the policy, the comparison website only asked for accidents relating to motorbikes.Believing this ‘fee’ to be unreasonable, I exercised my right to cancel the insurance (as I was within the 14-day cooling off period and before the policy had come into force), I was told there would be a charge of £60! A company that behaves this poorly BEFORE the Policy has begun must surely be avoided.A terrible experience and vile company, my advice is to stay well clear of Triumph Insurance, Adrian Flux and Markerstudy.
