When you purchase from a brand like True Brown, you expect a certain standard — quality control, consistency, and reliability. Unfortunately, I learnt the hard way that a well-known name doesn’t always guarantee quality. I had bought a co-ord set earlier and absolutely loved it, which is why I confidently went ahead and ordered an anarkali. The disappointment came later. I wore it a few weeks after receiving it, and to my shock, the dress tore right at the back. I was disheartened, but since it was new and I loved the silhouette, I went ahead and darned it, hoping it was a one-off issue.Fast forward to a few weeks later — I wore it casually to a friend’s house, and to my utter embarrassment, it tore again. That’s when I realised the issue wasn’t accidental — the fabric itself was defective. It felt like an old batch of material that had been sitting in storage far too long. Even the slightest stretch caused it to tear like paper. So here’s my advice: if you do plan on buying from them, check your product thoroughly and wear it as soon as you can — because if something goes wrong, don’t expect the brand to take accountability. They don’t seem too keen on addressing the real issue: substandard material and lack of quality control.
