Surprisingly fun night.Way better than I expected!I went to a speed dating event in London last Friday after a friend basically forced me to book it with her. I wasn’t expecting much (I’ve tried dating apps for years and they’re exhausting), but honestly I had such a good time.The venue was a bar near Liverpool Street, really relaxed vibe, not awkward like I’d imagined. The host was friendly and actually quite funny, which helped calm everyone down at the start. You get about 4 minutes per date, which sounds short but is actually enough to figure out if you click with someone.There were around 15 guys there (I’m 29), and I’d say a good mix of careers and personalities, not just “finance bros” like I feared 😂 Everyone seemed genuinely there to meet someone, not mess around.I matched with two people and I’ve already been on a second date with one of them, so fingers crossed!Even if nothing had come of it, I’d still say it was worth it for a different way to meet people. Way more natural than endless messaging on apps.Would definitely recommend if you’re bored of swiping.
