Sarah and Scott came to house sit for us Mid February this year whilst we were away in other parts of Europe. We had conducted a video call with them about 4 weeks before and we felt that their ability and enthusiasm would fit well with our needs.
On the agreed day they arrived at the agreed time. We introduced them to the SOP book (Standard Operating Procedures) that list in some detail the house systems, then we took them on a tour of the property and buildings, explained the areas that might need attention and daily care. Sarah and Scott were enthusiastic to understand the heating (pellet fired under floor heating), water softener, photovoltaic power system and refilling the water tanks, if necessary, from our artesian well. They showed interest in all the nuances of the systems and we felt we could leave the house in good hands.
During our trip they messaged us with questions, any problems, and most importantly, updates on our cats. The cats evidently felt they were in much better hands than when we are in residence and were affectionate and well behaved. Despite heavy rain over our trip there were minimal problems and we arrived back to a clean and happy household.
We understand that Scott and Sarah saw all that they had hoped to in the area and were happy with their decision to housesit for us.
