Trustpilot is genuinely one of the better review platforms out there and I use it regularly. The reach is solid and businesses actually take it seriously which matters.
But here is where it gets frustrating. A good chunk of my reviews keep getting flagged for verification and I have to go back and forth with their support team, submitting proof just to validate that my reviews are real. I get that fighting fake reviews is important but the way Trustpilot handles this right now feels clunky and reactive. There has to be a smarter way to distinguish genuine reviewers from bad actors without making the real ones jump through hoops every other time.
The platform has the scale and resources to build better fraud detection. Relying on manual verification requests this often just shows the system needs improvement.
