I used TuneMyMusic briefly while looking at third-party options for YouTube Music. After granting access, the service went far beyond what any reasonable user would expect. It replaced the descriptions on all of my playlists with its own promotional message advertising their website, wiping out my original descriptions without permission. It also changed my playlist visibility from public to private. None of this was requested, needed, or disclosed. It served only their marketing interests and damaged my content.This wasn’t a “transfer.” It was unsolicited modification and self-promotion inside my account. I immediately revoked access. The fact that a service feels entitled to overwrite personal information with advertising raises serious trust and privacy concerns. If this is considered normal practice for them, that’s a major red flag.I will not use TuneMyMusic again, and I would strongly advise others to think twice before granting them access to their music accounts.
