My orangery roof lantern seals have failed and leak heavily when it rains. The orangery was installed in 2022 by the previous property owners with a supposed 10 year guarantee. According to TWC, this so-called ‘guarantee’ is apparently not transferable to me as the new owner, even though the installation has failed in less than three years. You might think that a reputable company would want to stand by the quality of their products and installation but apparently not in this case. I’ve rung several times in recent weeks and emailed via the website and never received the promised call back, much less a resolution of the issue. I’ve asked for a copy of the original contract showing any exclusions, again, nothing. TWC did originally agree back in April 2025 to come and take a look with no promise of resolution but sadly I had to cancel that appointment due to dealing with a cancer diagnosis, of which the company are aware. Since then, all of my enquiries have been totally ignored. —————————In response to TWC’s reply: I wouldn’t know what is or is not in the terms and conditions as, despite asking to see a copy of them on numerous occasions, my request has been completely ignored. It’s my understanding that many reputable companies will honour their guarantees irrespective of a change in property ownership.
