Extremely Disappointed by Etihad Airways – Premium Fare, Poor Service, and No AccountabilityI am writing this review to share my disappointing experience with Etihad Airways, following months of unaddressed complaints and an overall lack of professionalism.In July 2025, I purchased an Economy Deluxe ticket (Booking Ref: 9GD9B3) for my flight from Bangkok to Paris via Abu Dhabi.The ticket cost THB 31,950, significantly higher than the standard fare, as it included extra legroom, free date change, refund option, and priority services.Unfortunately, the reality did not match what I paid for.❌ No Extra LegroomOn both flights, I was assigned standard seats instead of the extra-legroom seat I paid for. Etihad later justified this by saying such seats are “subject to availability” — something that was never stated during purchase.This is misleading and unacceptable when you pay extra specifically for that benefit.⚠️ Cabin Discomfort and Safety ConcernOn the Abu Dhabi–Paris leg, a plastic floor panel came loose near my seat, making the flight uncomfortable and unsafe. I reported it immediately and filed a complaint with photos attached, but no corrective action or apology was ever received.💸 Free Change That Isn’t FreeWhen I tried to move my return flight from October 14 to October 12, I was told to pay THB 17,100, even though my ticket clearly stated “Free Change.”Ironically, Etihad’s cheaper Comfort fare lists a maximum change fee of THB 12,350, proving inconsistency and lack of transparency.🕒 Months of Silence and InactionI have now submitted three complaints:#2507244808219 – closed without responsibility or compensation#2509304917822 – no written reply despite multiple reminders on Facebook and X#2510214955867 – submitted on October 21, 2025, still awaiting a proper answerEtihad’s last response was a short, generic message that ignored the main issues and failed to offer any meaningful resolution.⚖️ A Matter of TrustThis experience shows a serious lack of accountability from an airline that claims to offer premium service.I expected professionalism and fairness — instead, I received excuses, silence, and broken promises.Etihad Airways has lost my confidence.I am still open to an amicable settlement, but until they take responsibility and honor what passengers pay for, I can only warn other travelers to think twice before booking “Deluxe” fares that may not deliver what’s promised.
