UBEREAT ARE REAL SCAMS!. Took my money with no food delivered and refused to refund. The story as follows: I ordered from a restaurant website, which I regret as I always order through Deliveroo who are usually great and helpful when things go wrong, the delivery for that restaurant is managed by Ubereats. I wrote my correct address which is usually easy to get to. When I received the text that the driver is arriving I had a look and found in the maps he is in the wrong address around may be 10-12 mins walk from my address. I went outside the house just in case but he was not there. I tried to call him and he did not respond then I texted him and then he asked me to send him my number which I did and then he called me. He told me to come to where he is which I said no he is in the wrong address and if he can please come to the flat and I wanted to show him the directions, he started to be rude and said no you come to me and was shouting. Then he cancelled the order. I called the customer service. The first lady had a look and then she said he followed the path and he tried to contact you with no luck, which is not true, so they can not refund or redeliver, so just wasted the 33 pounds, my time and still hungry. I was unhappy but she said nothing she can offer and she hanged up the phone on me!!. I called again and the 2nd lady was a bit more respectful but still the same outcome, nothing they can do. Then I said I want to speak to the manager which I was able to with persistence, but still the outcome is the same, they will not refund me or redeliver. Wasted 3 hours of my life in nonsense and the money and no food delivered to my house. The driver actually after he probably ate my food, I texted him and he apologised in the text as he knows it was his mistake. Never again with ubereats, proper theft
