Forced to buy unfit for purpose car

On 25th June I was speaking with Ross about obtaining a new car. I advised the must haves and he said no problem as they have a huge range of cars. I advised I was coming from 2 bad experiences with buying cars and so I'm very dubious about buying another car. Upon being accepted for finance we discussed cars but I was asked to have a manual as they didn't have a big range of automatic SUV's. This was a must have due to the types of driving I do, my health and having a disabled son. Then he had a new car come in which hadn't yet been advertised and sent me a video of it. I was unsure as the vehicle was low and wasn't really the car I was looking for. He said its best to see it in person. I was unable to go there as I had no transport but he said not to worry as that can be sorted and someone could collect me. He then said I needed to pay £200 deposit to hold the car and prevent anyone else from purchasing. VERY RUSHED! Ross was off the following day and said he had passed to his manager. After sleeping on it and looking into the car more I decided the car wasn't for me, I contacted them and advised them of my reasons for this. Umar then called me and gave me his sales pitch and wasn't really listening to my reasons for not wanting the car. UNHELPFUL. He basically was telling me I was stupid and that I'd be a fool as it was such an amazing car and spec and his family have one and have done for years and therefore its really reliable. I explained again that I couldn't go and see the car at the moment so its best to leave it. He then said I'll drive the car to you. I felt like I had no other option but to accept. FELT PRESSURED! When he arrived we went on a small drive and he told me he knows the owner of the business as he brought him there when it started as they worked together and he is the type of person that would rather the business be out of pocket than have an unhappy customer so, if I decide the car isn't for me in 6 months they will have the car back no issues. I said about me owing money on the car due to depreciation and he said Mercedes cars hold the value so by that time I would owe less finance and would probably be better off as the car would still be the same value. He said I know you wont turn this car down as its the best you are going to get on your budget. FELT BELITTLED! We pulled up home and he said shall we process the paperwork then and I agreed thinking ok I'll try for a short time. FELT PRESSURED!! The car on the way to me lost 2 of the rim protectors which he told me he would replace and said the valet needed redoing as it had been rushed but he would call me and I could go there and they would fit and valet my car. A couple of days later someone from head office called to see how the car was. I advised I was waiting for contact regarding the rims and valet and I have a problem with the tyre pressure warnings coming on but when I pump it up its showing fine on the machine. She said she would get the garage to contact me. They did call me and we made an appointment for me to take the car in. I mentioned about the tyre pressure and left the car there. When I returned to collect the car I was told the tyres were not a problem it was just something to do with the weather and they had done the rims and valet. Upon driving home both the new rim covers had come off and the valet had not been done as there were still smiley face in the dirt on the inside of the windscreen. DISAPPOINTING!! At the end of August I sent an email to advise I'm still having problems with the car and Umar called me and I discussed changing the car. He told me to go and find a car myself and get it changed, no help at all. He sent me the number for the warranty people and said contact them. I told him I have contacted them but they want me to pay and sort it myself at my cost. He advised I need to do that or sell the car, those are my options. SO UNHELPFUL!! I took the car to a garage and they advised the tyre pressure light was because I had 2 dangerous tyres that were bulging. They were surprised with the type of driving I do that it hadn't blown. £180 to replace and they advised the car would have been sold to me in this way as they could see it wasn't damage that's happened over 2 months. FELT CHEATED! In October I rang and spoke to Ben and asked if I could swap and sell back the car as I'm really not happy with it and Umar had told me I could. Ben advised that his manager said no and to try webuyanycar.com, I said I would lose money and his reply was you may get lucky I don't know what else to say. UNHELPFUL! My car is having more issues now but the warranty wont pay unless I pay for it be investigated more. I've been sold a car not fit for purpose. I had in depth conversations and thought they would help especially understanding I'm a single mom with a disabled child. I'm left with a car that isn't fit for purpose and needs a bottomless pit of money to make work. I feel really disappointed and discouraged by them. STAY AWAY
