Unfortunately I am unable to give 0 stars, so 1 will have to do. I went into the Wigan site today after being promised via phonecall ‘your application is positive! Numerous lenders who are willing to work with you. We would not waste yours or our time if your application is declined’ to get to the site, go through my details with a member of staff, be given the keys to a car I wax interested in to sit and and have a look around… to then be told within 5 minutes if this, my application was declined. This was absolutely fine, until I got home. A friend of mine had also applied and called to check up on the status of her application, without giving her name in to anybody or any of her details they INSTANTLY told her her application had also been declined. She then proceeded to tell them you have not even taken my name, to which the member of staff replied ‘it is *****’ and gave my friend her own name over the telephone. She then went on to ask why it was declined… and also stated that her friend (myself) had just been into the showroom and was declined after being shown around the particular vehicle I’d chosen.. the guy then TOLD HER WHY MY APPLICATION WAS DECLINED. This was after giving a very well practiced speech about confidentiality and data protection. He should never have given my information out to anybody!! When I then called the showroom after my friend informing me of this mishap, the First Lady who answered the call advised me “yes I know who she was dealing with I’ll pass you over to my colleague” again, without taking my name, or my friends name from me. Instantly knew who we were. Passed me over to the guy who she spoke with, who also seemed to know who we were. He went on to tell me that my application was declined due to bank statements… what bank statement? Because I had not provided ANY bank statements at any point during my application… when I questioned this, he backtracked and then decided to tell me it was “because the vehicle chosen was too expensive”…. Again, how do you know this? Because you have no idea about my income and outgoings in order for you to tell me this is the reason behind the decline. I’m not affected by a declined offer, I’m bothered by the fact this company is disgusting and can easily give your information out to any Tom, Dick and Harry, even when supposedly following a confidentiality and data protection policy. And then bare faced lying to you. I would never ever recommend this company to anybody. They were made aware this review would be put up and they tried their damn hardest to keep me on the phone to prevent this but never once apologised for the lies they told. #ucanBELETDOWN, #ucanNOTTRUSTTHEM. Disgusted by their service.
