I purchased a course called Worldbuilding Workshop. Overall, I rated the course a 3-star; it was pretty basic, and I left a review on the Udemy site. However, I rate Udemy a 1-star.They advertise a 30-day money-back guarantee, so I requested a refund. Granted, I watched the entire course over three days, hoping it would improve. It did not. When I asked for a refund, a link popped up indicating that I had watched too much content. That is fine; I get that, but I wanted to know how much content is too much in case I order another course and it turns out to be subpar. I first tried to inquire with the chatbot, but that went nowhere. Then I tried contacting Udemy to clarify the refund policy, but the email returned me to their chatbot assistant. There is nowhere actually to send an email and receive assistance. I already tried to get an answer to my specific question with the chatbot, but it kept referring me to the general refund policy. The refund policy page states:“A notable amount of the course has been consumed or downloaded by a student before the refund was requested.”This language is vague–how much content is a notable amount? Is it 5%, 10%, 20%. I did not find this information on the refund policy page. Obviously, this buyer’s beware experience is not leaving me with a good impression.Like I said, I'd rate that course as a 3-star and the Udemy 1-star.
