I have used Interparcel for quite some time, and initially the service was acceptable. However, since Feb, I have experienced multiple shipments where I was charged what I consider to be unreasonable additional fees.
For one shipment, I declared the parcel as 32kg with dimensions 77 × 67 × 40 cm. The parcel was collected without any issue. A few days later, I received an invoice demanding an additional £210.88 for an “under-declared shipment,” claiming the actual dimensions were 76 × 75 × 40 cm.
This represents an 8cm variance on one side, yet they attempted to charge over £200 extra. In comparison, I had a similar size adjustment with another provider and was charged £22.50, which I consider reasonable and proportionate.
Additionally, in February alone, I sent 8 shipments with them and was charged further adjustment fees of £80.98, £77.59, and £87.65 on other parcels. In total, I was overcharged £457.10 during that month.
The pricing structure feels unpredictable and disproportionate. I have decided not to waste further time disputing these charges and have closed my account.
I would strongly advise others to proceed with caution. There are many alternative providers in the market offering clearer pricing and more transparent charging practices.
