Initially refused to pay, I then escalated the claim to the financial ombudsman who decided in my favour. They were so difficult the claim ended up taking over a year to get resolved. Which meant I had to pay an additional 12 monthly payments to the leasing company for the car! Unfortunately it does not appear I can claim any compensation for this! Which seems very unfair as it was Opteven that was delaying the necessary repairs not me! I am very surprised that a company like the AA accept their customers are treated like this. I would never choose a warranty with the AA/ Opteven again
