I am a wealth planning specialist and management consultant by profession. I was also a lecturer and student councillor for many years, and in my experience no one training or academic institution is ever going to satisfy all the needs and expectations of its students all the time. In my 35 years of academic work both as a student and as a tutor with several institutions I can easily say that this college is the closest I ever got to experiencing just that. The UK College has a dedicated team of administrators and tutors with student-centric training programmes that are laser focused on helping students fulfil their needs and develop skills that are essential to achieving clinical preparedness and competence. In my opinion the approach taken by the UKCHH stands the best chance of transforming committed students with varied abilities and backgrounds into effective hypnotherapists. The College works really hard so that the voice of each student is not only heard but suggestions and ideas are also implemented in a dynamic and practical way that has tangible and measurable effect on each student’s learning journey. I spent over 12 months scanning through dozens of similar courses and corresponded with at least half of the schools on my shortlist before enrolling on the diploma course. None came close to offering, like the UK College, a holistic professional training of the highest calibre coupled with a deep insight and solid foundation of therapeutic skills without which clinical practice is not only difficult but also out of reach for many graduates of other schools, unless supplemented with other training or prior experience. This might not be the cheapest professional therapist training course out there but it is the one with the best value for money, grounded in evidence based therapeutic practices and one that equips you with what you need to start your practice. And once you complete your studies you are then eligible to join a community of practitioners and tutors via the school’s professional hub to continue to expand your knowledge and develop as a therapist. I cannot recommend this school high enough but also commend it’s principal and lead trainer Mr Mark Davies whose energy, passion and dedication to the field of hypnosis and hypnotherapy is as infectious as it is inspiring.
I didn't know what to expect when I began the course, but by the end I was inspired, knowledgable and confident. The training is excellent. The college banishes all ideas of mysticism and magic, and works purely on the empirical and the science based facts. I can't recommend it more highly. If you're looking to become a mesmeric, hypnotic master, look elsewhere. If you're looking for first class training in becoming an effective hypnotherapist, look no further.
During the first Covid-19 lockdown, I became interested in doing a training in Hypnotherapy and researched a number of schools. I chose the UK College as soon as I read their prospectus and listened to an introductory session with past students. The course is comprehensive, the trainers all have high levels of expertise and passion for what they do, it offers excellent training materials and support, and I realised just how much more I would get from the Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy approach, than others teaching only hypnotherapy. All my expectations have been met. Due to the lockdown situation, my choices were to do the live teaching (previously only done in person) via a webcast classroom or via pre-recorded sessions which I could do in my own time online. I chose webcast and was amazed at how successful this format could be. As well as the actual classroom (or online) learning, in order to get the qualification, there is reading, assessments and case studies to do under supervision. This is a robust, well structured, high quality training and I would recommend it to anybody who is serious about wanting to go into professional practice - as well as for personal growth reasons. The only addendum I would add for those who are changing careers and come from a completely different background such as marketing or graphic design - rather than say teaching or nursing - is that this is a short course. I would highly recommend a course in basic counselling skills / coaching skills for those new to this field.
Outstanding. The teachers on this course are committed, passionate and generous with their knowledge. The materials and course are of a high standard, evidence based and yet user friendly. The staff continuously refine their materials to make sure students get a course that is accessible. Lots of resources are available including opportunities for further reading, CPD taught by established professionals and the professional development hub. I studied in person before Coronavirus. I was fortunate to find a course that met what I needed a blend of evidence, philosophy and creativity. I made my decision to take this and not others for many reasons such as the personal attention of staff in making sure the course was right for me by spending time talking to me, the course is integrative and the course is accredited. I think the school is very suited to many types of learners and it suits students from different backgrounds. I come from a predominantly creative background and I found the course very accessible, possibly as exciting at times as my theatre classes were because of the live demos and discussions. Students studying at the same time as me were varied, some in medicine, some from business and this meant very rich conversations after practicals or during other discussions. I have done lots of the CPD and this is excellent too, I particularly love Smoking Cessation which you can see has so much effort packed into it and it is very easy to come away and set up helping smokers with lots of materials you can give to the client and many avenues to use the materials in other ways such as groups or seminars. I see many smokers and I get word of mouth referrals from the first person I helped who became a non smoker after 40 years. The other courses are also very good but I have particularly liked Daniel Mirea's Perfectionism and Low Self Esteem courses and was impressed when they were able to have Donald Meichenbaum offer a hopeful way of approaching PTSD. You will get value for money coming here, this course is demonstrably head and shoulders above the rest.
This is the only college I found in my research that offers an excellent, quality course for a valuable price. The trainers are well-versed & experienced in the field; they're absolutely brilliant. I'm only 4 months into the course and I already love being part of this community. I feel a lot more confident about getting certified as a practitioner through UKCHH.
If you're looking for evidenced based hypnotherapy training look no further. This is the best most comprehensive study system& training of the latest methods. Blending CBT with mindfulness and hypnosis & so much more. If you want to a richly deep seam of information and support to mine and utilise for a start up or established practice this is for you.
I thoroughly enjoyed training online for my diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy with UKCHH. The tutors seem passionate about the subjects they teach, and the coursework and teaching methods are continuously updated. Sourcing, additional resources and recommended reading are very comprehensive, so I feel that I've been given a really good grounding in this subject. The breadth of the course is also excellent, with great supervision and interaction with other tutors and students, practice opportunities, help on starting your practice and pointers for further study and specialisation. I made the right choice in studying with UKCHH.
Whilst I was on maternity leave I realised that I wanted to change my career and began to look into various colleges and options to study hypnotherapy. As I have a very young family it wasn't possible for me to attend in person, nor was it even possible for me to attend any live classes online. I needed something that would fit around my life and commitments and that's when I came across the UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy. I chose the online version and it worked brilliantly. I actually like to work quickly and tend to lose interest if things go too slow, so by studying in this way I was able to work at my pace, put in extra hours and really throw myself into all the subjects as they fascinate me.I now run a thriving practice and am putting into action all of the elements I learned. The videos are engaging, in particular Mark's style of presenting really resonated with me. The content is immense and really practical to apply with clients. There is lots of opportunity to practice with volunteers and to hone your skills and build your confidence. I'm always leafing through the many different techniques and scripts to tailor treatment plans to clients and regardless of their presenting problem I invariably find something new to work on with them. This course gives you the tools and the confidence to become a cognitive behavioural hypnotherapist and I highly recommend it. I have since studied the stress management and resilience building diploma and am about to embark on further CPD with the college.
I completed the CBH diploma, and few other workshops a few years ago. I still consider it one of the best things I have done in my life. We practiced a lot and I could also feel the benefit of hypnosis on myself. While I was attending the course I felt more relaxed and one exercise has helped with my spider phobia! The teachers were really knowledgeable and friendly and the content was very interesting. This is such a unique course that integrates CBT, Mindfulness and Hypnotherapy, an amazing combination of evidence based approaches. I can highly recommend this college!!
