Joanna’s Story🤩At 54, my eyelids had completely disappeared, I was unable to wear eye make up, as when I had applied my usual eye shadow, eyeliner and mascara, my eyes would be constantly watering, and my eye make up. Would run all down my face, so I would end up having to go into the bathroom to remove it. After trying Botox on numerous occasions, this only made my eyelids droop more. People were constantly saying I looked tired. This made me not want to go out and gradually lose all my confidence. After a lot of research, I came across the UK SKIN clinic in Birmingham, and they have changed my life! I first spoke to Usha over What’s App, she was wonderful and explained everything, to me, such a easy process. I then went for my consultation, at the clinic. The place was immaculate. I was greeted at the door. And made a lovely cappuccino, the reception staff were very friendly, and I immediately felt at ease. I then met with Dr Braham Ouali (who was going to do my surgery) and his amazing nurse Leanne. I was shown pictures, and talked through everything, about the process, what it entailed and what to expect. I arrived for my surgery, feeling excited, and some what anxious. Again I was greeted at the door, shown into their lovely lounge area, given a hot drink, and made to feel so comfortable. Immediately after drinking my drink, I was shown into the operating room, the nurses were so lovely to me and my surgeon, and everything was explained to me, and they talked to me, through the surgery, making sure I was ok. The surgery went amazingly well, I felt no pain what so ever! And I was comfortable throughout the whole of the procedure. I was given the instructions about the aftercare, and would go back in a weeks time to have my eyes cleaned and new bandages on, which I did. The care I received from the nurses was excellent, yet again, and I needed another appointment in a weeks time to take the stitches out. They only had 1 nurse on that day, so they were struggling to find me an appointment, but Leanne, (who was one of the nurses that was with me through all of my operation)who was one of the nicest people that I have ever met in my life, said she would come in. On her day off to take my stitches out, which she did. My eyes were starting to look amazing already, as the swelling had gone done and only a small amount of red bruising was showing, over my eyelids. Now 4 weeks on, my eyes look unbelievable!! I can wear eye make up, I’ve even treated myself to new eye shadows, which I thought I would never be able to do again. I’ve been out socially and all of my eye make up has stayed in place, my eyes do not water anymore, no more comments about looking tired, actually I’ve been told I look 10 years younger, I’ve had lots of compliments, and my confidence is back!!! I cannot recommend UK SKIN enough!! The staff team were all amazing, so friendly, my consultant has done an amazing job, and basically given me my life back. I’m Just so happy and grateful to everyone who looked after me so so well!🤩🤩And anyone who is considering having the process done, I would highly recommend, getting in touch with UK SKIN, they also do a lot of other cosmetic procedures.
