Just went to UG to find chords as usual, and realized that a feature I use often, transpose, is now a premium feature that you have to pay for! I can get by, but now I imagine all the users that have not studied music theory are going to be left feeling stuck and cheated. This leaves a terrible taste of corporate greed in my mouth, and I will be visiting UG as a last resort now instead of a first stop. This is user generated content, the chords come from it's members, so it seems that Ultimate Guitar (interesting horns in logo...) wants to take from people only, and then take some more, and not give in return. By the way, LOTS of ads already on the website. Just a shame really.
It’s making it more easy to learn to play your favourite songs, there’s a video for that song you want to play so that you can actually listen to or play the guitar while you’re listening. It’s really simple and fun app for the playing guitar.

I attempted to use this app for the first time and saw an offer for a free trial. After enabling the trial, I was shocked to see a charge of £100 shortly after. I requested a refund, but the experience felt deceptive. I wouldn't recommend it.
