I had a new lock installed about 18 months ago and I was sold the virtues of have a superior brand lock where you keys could not be copied locally,We had a problem in that the inside key was stuck in the lock. I tried every way I could to get the key out and in desperation tried using silicon lubricant spray from the other side of the lock to see if this would help to remove the key. It didn't help.Eventually I had to resort to removing the barrel and eventually managed to get the key out. I tried the key on the other side and there was no problem. I tried 3 keys on the other side and no problem. I tried another key on the inside and that one got stuck and took a lot of time and effort to remove it.Rang Ultion and spoke to technical support who told me I should have used graphite and because I used silicon lubricant to try to remove the key after it had become stuck in the lock their 5 year warranty was invalid. I should point out that I did not use the spray until after the key had become stuck.Their technical department were totally unhelpful, as far as they were concerned that since I had used silicon on the lock all be it to try and remove a key that had become stuck in a barrel it was my fault and the warranty was invalid.I have now replaced their locks so as not to run the risk of of keys getting stuck in the locks and a technical support department who couldn't car less.Remember, despite all of the wonderful reviews, you only find out how bad a company is when something goes wrong.
