I wonder if gel to maintain lock is toxic.
Hard squeeze tube then eventually micro particles seen on white background.
Squeezing tube supplied by locksmith is challenging. Appears to need a massive amount of pressure.
2 years later from my original Ultion lock trust pilot review I just have read the latest reviews and see they still not updated their customer service and customers are still experiencing the same issues I had 2 years ago ! Honestly these problems and frustrations should be addressed My advice is simple buy Yale ! Yale been working fine without any issues last few years after replacing every Ultion lock on my property Good job I didn’t fork out more money for more of these failed locks and rubbish customer service Thank you for the reply , unfortunately I can’t test out if there is any improvement as how many times does someone one buy locks? In my case my replacement locks are working just fine whereas Ultion locks failed well within 9 months If you want me to test your lock ? how about a free lock with afew keys to see how it hold up ??
I spend about £500 replacing a drilled lock which took all of 5 seconds for the locksmith to drill out. Ultion have changed the matching locks and keys so when I ordered 3 new locks the keys didn’t fit. They then shortchanged me on keys. I should have 14 keys. My 4 old keys and 9 new keys - 3 come with each lock. They only gave me 5 and won’t give me the others. The they sent wrong accessories out I.e two fronts to a handle, the spy hole is foggy and you can’t see out of it and doesn’t fit the door even on the smallest setting it is too big. There are also no instructions to fit anything of their gear. In addition the key folder smashed when trying to remove the key from it as it’s so poorly designed and low quality. I’ve made this clear to Ultion with photos and they continue to ask pointless moronic questions and won’t send working parts out. They are the most expensive locks out there but awful quality and customer service is a disgrace. For comparison I also had an equivalent ERA lock drilled and the guy spent two hours drilling, went through multiple drill bits and didn’t make a dent in the ERA lock.
I had a new lock installed about 18 months ago and I was sold the virtues of have a superior brand lock where you keys could not be copied locally,We had a problem in that the inside key was stuck in the lock. I tried every way I could to get the key out and in desperation tried using silicon lubricant spray from the other side of the lock to see if this would help to remove the key. It didn't help.Eventually I had to resort to removing the barrel and eventually managed to get the key out. I tried the key on the other side and there was no problem. I tried 3 keys on the other side and no problem. I tried another key on the inside and that one got stuck and took a lot of time and effort to remove it.Rang Ultion and spoke to technical support who told me I should have used graphite and because I used silicon lubricant to try to remove the key after it had become stuck in the lock their 5 year warranty was invalid. I should point out that I did not use the spray until after the key had become stuck.Their technical department were totally unhelpful, as far as they were concerned that since I had used silicon on the lock all be it to try and remove a key that had become stuck in a barrel it was my fault and the warranty was invalid.I have now replaced their locks so as not to run the risk of of keys getting stuck in the locks and a technical support department who couldn't car less.Remember, despite all of the wonderful reviews, you only find out how bad a company is when something goes wrong.
Not very impressed. We purchased a new front door which came with one of these locks. After a few days we couldn’t get the front door unlocked to get in. We couldn’t use the back door as we didn’t have the key with us. The company that fitted the door replaced it only for it to happen again a few weeks later. The company replaced it again and all went well for the next 10 months until we returned home from work again and couldn’t get in. The key is so hard to get into the lock as if something isn’t aligned right inside the lock. When you do get it in it takes a lot of wiggling to unlock. Three times we’ve been locked out of our house which isn’t fun especially when you have dogs locked in barking because they know you’re home but not came in. We followed the lock care instructions and purchased the graphite powder to use in it. We’ve since bought a Smith and Lock one again and fitted that,. We now have confidence that when we go out and lock the door we can get back in.
Just bought a new Ultion handle after the springs broke in my 10+ year old handles. Easy to fit. Slight issue with the old fitting being slightly smaller than the new one. I used a threaded screw to file out the hole to enable fitting. Even with this minor issue, it took me less than 5 minutes to fit. Coupled with our 3* Diamond Ultion Lock, the house feels very secure. I will never buy from any company other than Ultion for securing our doors.
Very helpful customer service. Craig spiers helped out enormously to correct an issue with my order. Overall the handle ordered ‘Ultion 2 Star plus’ has been a great upgrade to the existing handle. Fitting was easy and the finish is very good. Comes with quite a number of upgrades required for some of today’s known issues.
