I bought tickets to the Philippines for October 26, 2022. I was having a lot of trouble with the website by not being able to upload my ID, Passport, etc. The night before my flight, I couldn't get my boarding pass so I called the helpdesk. The lady told me to go to the airlines desk and they would help you get checked in. I arrived at the United Airlines check in and there were nothing but Kiosks. Two agents asked me if I had checked in and I told them I was instructed to get an agent to help me. Both of them told me I was not going under any circumstances. I was so humiliated and they told me to go to the back of the waiting area. After a while, one of the agents approached me and said I could get help for about $200. I told her I would just cancel my flight. She told me to hold on and she would talk to someone that might help me. She came back and said she would help for a big tip. I'm ashamed to say that I gave her $100 to get my boarding pass and get checked in. I have filed a complaint with the airlines and have go no response.
