I wish I could leave a positive review but even though I’m a Privilege Customer, the service I get from my RM is totally less than inspiring. I hold less in my accounts with DBS, Stanchart, HSBC and Hong Leong Bank but the service I receive from them is far better – particularly from Hong Leong Bank & DBS. Additionally, UOB’s charges for transfers to Malaysian banks is also exorbitant. UOB’s RMs seemed to make it their life’s duty to make customers feel insignificant and completely unimportant. I recently called it and spoke to a female member of staff at the Customer Service department to lodge my complaint and was assured that I would receive a reply from an senior Relationship Team officer either the same day or the next. It has been at least 4 days and still crickets!! to say that UOB is an appallingly bad bank would be a gross understatement. I shall be moving my funds out of it once second arrange certain investment platforms to accept the change in accounts.
