I filed a police report and contacted the Apple Store, which flagged the transactions and was willing to cooperate. Upgrade never contacted the merchant, refused my police report case number, and made no effort to investigate. After nearly two weeks, my claim was denied for “lack of evidence” — evidence they chose not to obtain.
If you expect your bank to protect you from fraud or even attempt an investigation, Upgrade is not it.
