I had a delivery that was sent to my billing address rather than the shipping address by the sender. I contacted UPS to tell them that I want to refuse acceptance and to return the delivery to the sender. They told me that is not possible until a first failed delivery attempt happened or that I can refuse the delivery upon arrival. As I wasn't home at the time of delivery I told them that I explicitly don't want the delivery to be given to a neighbor or something. They told me that this cannot happen because they need me to sign that I received the delivery and they cannot give it to a neighbor anyway. Then, when I arrived home at the day of planned delivery of course it was given to a neighbor. After contacting them to get them pick up the delivery and return it as I always wanted, they said this is not possible I need to send it back mayself which would cause delivery cost for me. So they want me to pay for their complete incompetence and false statements.
