We do tons of importing from all over the world, stopped using UPS a good number of years ago as we had issues with them in the past. Issues were leaving out the miss you note and telling us to go from Ballymount to their depot in Finglas to collect parcels. Also billing, they have a very strange system where the driver just rocks up and expect you to have the exact change for an invoice, won't wait for you to ring their office to process the payment over the phone. With FedEx is easy, invoices come 2/3 weeks after and DHL offer prepayment option in advance which is great.UPS Ireland have an out of date system which is no workable in today's parcels shipping industry.Today UPS driver turned up, the usual have you got the exact change question and if I want to pay with you the card he won't be able to hold out for a few minutes.I rang them, paid and was told that the invoice will be emailed, obviously this never materialized.UPS are a courier company are far at the bottom and they sank already as you can't get any lower than this.We told our suppliers not to use UPS for all reasons mentioned and if they use them they will lose the business with us.Just to clarify, I can't blame the driver or the admin staff working for UPS, I blame the management for not moving forward with the times as their system is outdated, it's not 90s anymore!!!!To UPSStick your email on the website so your customers can contact you if they want email you instead of ringing.
