I traded in a high-value Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra (Value: £355.00) which was confirmed as "Completed" on 15th March. UR.co.uk promised payment within 7 working days. It has now been over two weeks, and I have received zero funds and no automated payment confirmation.
I have called multiple times and spoke to a representative named Leman, who gave me verbal assurances that the payment was being processed. Since then, I have received only stalling emails asking for "more patience" while they "raise it with the accounts team."
This company is currently in breach of contract. They have possession of my expensive device but are withholding my money. I have now issued a formal Letter Before Action and will be filing a claim via Money Claim Online (Small Claims Court) for the £355 plus court fees and statutory interest. I am also reporting this to Action Fraud and Trading Standards.
ADVICE TO OTHERS: DO NOT use this service. They use stalling tactics to keep your device and your money. Save yourself the stress and use a reputable recycler instead.
