After ordering, I looked them up and realised the company had hundreds of negative reviews and a BBC investigation linking them to scam behaviour, including misleading cancer patients. At that point I tried to cancel my order, especially once I saw the item would arrive too late for my event.What followed was a long stream of messages asking me to keep the order, open the parcel, or close my PayPal case. I refused because opening the parcel can invalidate a refund claim. At one point, the seller even admitted to me in writing that the return address printed on the parcel was fake – which is a known scam tactic and violates PayPal policies.I reported everything to PayPal (proof of cancellation, fake return address, screenshots of them pressuring me to close the dispute, Trustpilot reviews, and the BBC article), but PayPal were unfortunately not very helpful.Ultimately, I disputed the transaction through American Express, who were extremely helpful – this is how I finally got my refund.
