Emirate flight complaints:When an airline called then five starI want to write my entire experience from booking with emirates vacations to back to IAD. It started when we bought economy saver tickets through emirates vacations. We want to upgrade the flight to business class using the points and made multiple phone called to emirates vacation and they said please contact emirates not us. We are different. I did not get it why they are different entity. When you called emirates airline they said emirates vacations took your money so please contact them. We were totally bouncing back and forth with them. Still was not able to find solutions to my problem (1st frustration).Then comes the 48 hours check in process. When you book the economy saver it says you get to choose your seats within 48 hours upon check in. Again emirates auto assign the seats to us and called it we checked in. So IAD to Dubai flight which is 1st leg of the flight emirates place all four of us in back seats. My daughter do get motion sickness time to time but night flight is the worse episode of the motion sickness. So my son put the alarms every hour to see if they have any open seats available so we can move front the aircraft not back of it (2nd frustration). It’s a pain to do these when you are going on vacation.He did the same thing for Dubai to Male flight so alarms schedule.I felt like we are not going on vacation but following the time table schedule.When coming back from Male to Dubai and Dubai to IAD. Emirates again auto assigned the seats to us. These time they gave us seats Male to Dubai seats together since flight was empty. But from Dubai to IAD all four seats are scattered throughout the economy class. So my daughter is under the age of 13 and emirates policy with kids under the age of 13 will get to seats with family. Who cares of the policy when one make it. They gave all of us different seats (3rd frustration). Again my son put the alarm for each hours to see if they have open seats we can all come together. We decide so go emirates counter earlier in Male to see if they can gave us the seats together. They gate agent try to help us in Male but she said they are open seats but Dubai control them there end. So it won’t let me change from here. When land to Dubai please go to connection centre and they will able to help you. When we went there she said they flight is overbooked and someone has to stay back. That we left from there since she wasn’t that helpful. She was very rude. The reason we won’t change the seat since my daughter had bad motion sickness during the night flight so we do not want to bother passengers seating next to us. Then we want to gate for departure, there we ask the gate agent again if we can upgrade or change our seats. He said flight it overbooked and there is no seats available together. We also said the gate agent in Male said that there are available seats in the flight and Dubai airport will able to help. Gate agent in Dubai called her liar. I was shocked to hear it from his mouth that he was saying bad about his coworker and totally unprofessionalism. We are asking if they won’t to see the prescription for my daughter for motion sickness he said there is no seats available together in very rude manner. My husband got very update stating saying the you guys treated us like second class citizens and we are just requesting the seats. Gate agent at the Dubai airport says do you want me to call the security and you know how security in Dubai works in very threatening manner. I told my husband that please clam down and let us all go home and we will never ever fly with emirates again or even booked the vacations with them again.In short, the day we booked the vacation with emirates it gave us the frustration and anger by nothing else. We are mislead, no trust factor, bad customer service. Gate agent at the Dubai were very rude and disrespectful. Only staff member were polite were all the cabin crew member on all the flights. Please let me know if you have same experience on your own will you able trust that airline again to fly with them. As far next trip concern, we will be no longer flying with emirates in the future. We will telling others to do the same.Thank you for not so wonderful service.
