Our vacation was awesome from beginning to end. My husband and I took a vacation to celebrate our anniversary and my 40th bday in Zanzibar east Africa. Emirates vacation package was a great deal that we couldn’t pass up. The hotel was 5 star and emirates airlines had a impeccable customer service. The food was good, they offered top shelf spirits and it was an overall great experience flying with emirates. Their partner airline Air Dubai was not so pleasant but it was better than some American air lines that we have flown. Our flight roudtrip flight from JFK to Zanzibar and Zanzibar to JFK was canceled days before we were scheduled to depart so we had to contact emirates customer service to schedule another flight, which was an inconvenience however, they managed to book us a flight for the next day of our original booking which was 9/13 instead of 9/12, with a 12 hour layover on the return flight in Dubai. We weren’t to happy about the 12 hour layover but emirates provided us with accommodations at a motel. The motel was not great, the room actually smelled like mildew and I couldn’t sleep, I actually had to sit in the lobby but it was complimentary and we were grateful. Also we paid the extra cost for a luxury transportation to and from the airport in Zanzibar but the transportation was far from luxury. Nonetheless our vacation was awesome and we will definitely be booking with emirates again in the near future.
