The only reason I gave them one star is due to the fact that I was a 43 year member and at the beginning they were excellent. Unfortunately that is far from true now. I moved to Florida where the auto insurance rates are some of the highest in the country. I asked why my rates doubled when I moved here. I was given excuses like hurricanes, high auto theft, uninsured drivers, and no fault insurance. I called GEICO immediately afterwards and given a quote that was not only 65% lower than USAA, but even lower that the USAA rate I payed in my former state. It makes me sick that for years I probably payed at least $20,000 more in insurance premiums than their competitors rates. They no longer look after military and vets, it's all about making money and taking advantage of a dead reputation.
