I don’t know who runs the show here, but, you need to get a new job. My A class went in for MOT and service during summer, (couldn’t wait inside, which is understandable due to pandemic and got a courtesy car), called me up to fail me on a bald tyre, but, after replacing said tyre, forgot to pump it up properly, wouldn’t valet the inside due to the pandemic, (although there are businesses all over town who are valeting away). Next mess up was when my air bag light illuminated whilst driving in September. I rang them up and they told me I shouldn’t drive it, but, call Mercedes breakdown instead. Called breakdown who tell me it is not their responsibility and to recontact Mercedes centre, called Mercedes centre again who told me they don’t recommend I drive it and that breakdown must collect it, call breakdown again who tell me it’s not their area and they also say they don’t understand why Mercedes keep referring customers to them for issues like this, then they recommend driving the car slow and safely to the Mercedes centre, although, Mercedes don’t recommend this, (ridiculous) so, I organise an appointment (£170) just to have it looked at and nothing off the cost of repair, which, ended up costing over £1k, with no courtesy car, access to sit in lounge and again no valet. (disgusting), the car is only 5 years old, the following week another light comes on, ring Mercedes, “oh will need to book it in again”, will cost another £170 to look at it, I wanted to keep the heap of crap for a year or two after the HP to save money then buy a CClass but I can assure you I will never even look at Mercedes again because like lots of companies with an excellent history they’ve gone cheap and sloppy.FYI I went to the local mechanic down my street who charged me £45 to look at it ( a fair drop from £170 ).
