I took my car to Mercedes Benz Huddersfield, as I had looked on line and booked an appointment as I wanted to sell my car, I bought it from this garage in 2021, I had told them twice on the phone that I just wanted to sell my car as I wanted to buy a camper van.When I arrived a man named Craig came and asked me if I had the full service history, I stated yes it’s in the car in the service book, he stated no it won’t be they don’t stamp books anymore, I assured him it was in the “service book” and it had been stamped every year by the garage I use (not Mercedes) he then stated no they don’t come with service books. I went on to tell him I had bought the car from this very garage and it came with a service book and I have the book in the car and if he would like to come with me I will show him! He followed me to the car and I showed him, he stated oh right yes I can see that it has got the service history, he gave no apology, he stated you can go back in now I will take some photos, after a while he came back and stated his manager has said he doesn’t want the car as it would only end up at auction. If I had wanted to buy a car from them I don’t think there would have been a problem. He advised me to take it elsewhere. This man was rude and offered no apology for the way he spoke to me, maybe because I was a woman and certainly because I was not buying a car from Mercedes. When I bought the car in 2021 I had a completely different experience they couldn’t do enough for me!! Rude staff I certainly will NOT return to this garage ever again.
