When matched well, the experience can be interesting. I’ve had some great 1-hour interviews where I delved deeply into the research topics. However, many screeners exceed what should be expected, with excessively long questions about detailed information and brand perceptions. It often becomes clear they’re using the screeners for research purposes. There are also low-paying offers, making it hard to avoid studies I’m not interested in. Most times, I’ve been paid as promised, but I recently encountered a study that took 30 minutes instead of the advertised 15, and the researcher didn’t mark it as completed. Customer service promised to follow up but never did. Overall, it’s a mixed experience; I check for well-paying studies, but if the questions become too detailed, I tend to drop out when it’s clear they’re conducting free research.
