We were at the Lynyrd Skynyrd concert on 16 July. They were amazing as always and we had a great time. However, I didn't give 5 stars because prior to attending, we were given completely wrong information about getting to the arena. My husband has COPD and mobility issues and we were told that the quickest way to our seats in Block 2 was to use the Southern Car park and enter the arena at Entrance D. What we didn't realise was that once parked, we had to walk a long way to the entrance and when we got in, the nearest block was 10 which meant we would have to walk all the way round. By this time my husband was struggling to breathe and couldn't walk any further. Then finally our luck turned, 2 ladies from the medical team - Maddi and Gabby - happened to be passing and I can't praise them highly enough, they managed to a get a wheelchair and wheel hubby to the right place. This was not the end of the story - our tickets were for Block 2 but when we got there the curtains were closed, which obviously meant all the seats were taken! We were taken in to block 3 where the security staff were fantastic and so helpful, they seated us in an accessible area which gave us a great view of the stage. I must repeat, Maddi and Gabby as well as the security staff were absolute life savers and made our night a memorable one after all the trouble beforehand. Maddi and Gabby also made sure my husband had a wheelchair so that I could push him back to the car at end of the evening. I do however think it is very bad that such a large and prestigious venue should give out incorrect information especially to someone with mobility issues. Must do better!
