This was our first purchase of a leather sofa set.What caught our eye was the beautiful design that we saw in the website description images.We purchased the Pista Modern Top Grain Leather Reclining Sectional Sofa with the right-arm chaise in cognac.First, we do love the furniture, this being said there are some things as a first time leather furniture purchaser that we learned.The sofa set is Not 100% leather throughout and this is not made known clearly or easily discovered except in the Specifications tab. The only leather components are as described in the website specifications under "Upholstery Material" it states "Italian Nappa 11000 Top Grain Leather on all seating surfaces"The key is the leather is only where your body touches the furniture when seated hence the term, "seating surfaces";This is again not readily made known except in the specifications and the balance of the outer covering that is Not leather is vinyl and this is also not disclosed as it should be in the same area in the specifications under "Upholstery Material" and it is not.Hopefully they will be more transparent soon in the website description.The other caveat is what you see in the website images as to the furniture design such as seams and surfaces will not necessarily be what you receive, in our case there was a difference in height between the end piece and the seat cushion, they were not even.There was also a scar in the leather as well visible on the top of one head rest.I called in and it was explained to me that the height issue was a design change and the leather scar and seams of the furniture are all a result of the uniqueness of the furniture being hand made.We also paid for white glove delivery and the extended warranty. After delivery we noticed a seam between the vinyl and the leather was torn slightly and created a hole.I reported this to the company, sending the requested images and a repair technician was dispatched within a few days he arrived at our home and explained the most likely cause was at some point most likely delivery, that the furniture was lifted at this point pulling apart the seam at it’s weakest point between the leather and the vinyl, the vinyl being much softer and prone to tearing. The technician did a great job repairing this area.I am very happy with all the after sales and warranty support that we received from Valencia Theater Seating and highly recommend the white glove delivery and purchase of the extended warranty. The warranty is an exceptional value for a 5 year warranty length and for what is covered. Lastly, would I purchase this furniture again? Absolutely. Was it what we expected? For the most part yes minus the things we mentioned which deviated from our expectations.
