I purchased two chairs for over $2k, I was fairly happy with them as the quality of the leather seemed good. Unfortunately foam (the padding in your seat and armrest) is my business, so I understand it very well...and Valencia uses cheap open cellular foam in their chairs just like everyone else does. I use the armrests and I'm a thin muscular guy...so I place pressure on the armrest when I'm in a sitting position sometimes. High quality polyurethane foam will bounce back to its original thickness by 95%, from companies like Rogers Corporation. This means no matter how much you compress it, you will see it return to its normal thickness very quickly. When you use cheaper closed cell foams they will definitely not return to their original thickness, which is where my problem presents itself. These foams only return to about 10% of their original thickness. So far, I really don't have a problem. But...I also purchased an extended warranty for several hundred dollars, don't remember exactly. I believe the chairs were still under standard warranty anyway. The point is after requesting an armrest replacement (not the whole chair) and providing all of the receipts and information, pictures and videos, and many emails back and forth with both Valencia and warranty company (all the while telling me they are denying my request because of lack of information - upon which I flooded them with information)...they sent a simple email saying my claim was denied. I purchase the extended warranty that was not cheap...and they still denied me. So, cheap foam in the chairs and horrible customer service, with or without having an extended warranty.I would stay away if I were you.
