I had the best time training with Val. It was my first experience of a personal trainer and any type of weight lifting. My goals were to be more active, healthy, improved my mental health, be able to do a push up, and reduce my BMI so I qualified for fertility treatment on the NHS. We worked hard at all these goals, and I actually became pregnant naturally just as my BMI became the required amount for treatment which was a direct result of my training with Val. I stopped training with Val once I had my son and then Val moved. But I’d absolutely had started again with him if he was still here. He’s so personal and non judgemental. I think as a women sometimes it can feel a little intimidating having a male personal trainer- but I never got that energy from Val and felt comfortable and enjoyed every session. He was the perfect balance of relaxed but yet still pushed me to work harder than I would ever have done on my own and helped me see what I was really capable of. My mental health massively improved whist training with Val, as well as obviously massively improving my fitness and general physical health. He was very knowledgeable with how best to handle my existing injuries, and also whist we trained through my pregnancy. I’d recommend Val to anyone!
