What a total piece of crap this…

I would have given a (-) 5 STARS ...but that wasn't an option. What a total piece of crap this purchase was $140. for a "Quilted bed set". Quilted?? I don't think so! They sent 2 flat pieces of material. It had bee machine sewed to imitate a quilted piece. The stitched area was randomly sewn all over the material on the front material and the back material. then the top and bottom fabrics were connected on all 4 edges with binding tape. A quilt would have a fiber fill between the top and bottom layers to give it the puffy (full) look we all are familiar with. Generally speaking a quilted pieces are filled with batting and can be sewn by hand or machine (dependent on the homemade/handmade look). The quilting is to keep the batting in place when in use. Vantigue didn't even bother to quilt the upper and lower material togethe0, as a quilt would be designed. The final product was an inferior/limp/ugly blanket which isn't much thicker than a sheet. The designs on the outer upper material the art work and 3d effect was done well but the colors were as far off as 75% different than the illusion on their site. The scene on the outer top material was a beach scene. The sandy areas wer not a tan (beige color) as would be on any beach. the color of the sand is gray. Have you ever seen a gray beach? the inside (bottom layer on their site was the same tan (beige color of the sand. Yet the sent this "quilt to me with a pitch black surface. Whae a bed is made with a quilt the top portion is folded over and the pillos sit on the folded section. Envision a beach scene with pillow shams sittin on top pf pitch black inner surface. Really? This quilted bed set was on the bed less than 5 min. It is SO hideous we pulled it off and packed it back into its packaging and contacted Vantique. The response was as ridiculous as the bed set. JOLIE . the customer service representative responded and said after the review team reviewed my comments and pictures included, it was determined I had received exactly what the site had listed and because this was a "made to order" item it was not eligible for return/refund. So even though this bed set looks like a dogs pile of .... I have to keep it and waste $140. I am not going to accept this. I will do what is necessary to receive a refund. I will not let Vantique steal my money and scam me.
