Review Time
I was apprehensive at first due to not following convention, not seeing someone face to face, not knowing the companies local reputation, not using the local crematorium. I am so pleased to write this in the hope that it might put anyone at ease who is conflicted with this difficult decision. I have been so impressed with variety funerals every step of the way. They could not have been more empathetic, informative, efficient, attentive and available. The whole process was a smooth reassurance A massive Thank you to all the members that played a part in taking such good care of my father and helped and supported me.
I am not sure why they have a rating this low as they have been courteous, incredibly helpful and professional throughout after my darling wife passed on 8 October 2025. They deserve a higher rating and hope that my review brings Variety Funerals a deserved higher rating.
I concur with what Helen said in previous review.Everything was transparent ,and yes what was a daunting traumatic task was made less so by the staff. A professional service from start to finish .About payment,they give you about.a week after paying the deposit to settle .I only mention as noted negative review about payment.Not my experience.Highly recommended .
Very unhelpful person over the phone who refused to take our deposit indicating that they were not satisfied as to how we we were going to pay the outstanding balance. We said we would make the payment by the deadline. Variety funerals siad they were not satisfied with this. Totally insensitive and inappropriate attitude. Would recommend to stay well away
I recently contacted Variety Funerals to inquire about their direct cremation services. The pricing seemed attractive, but I had several questions regarding the cremation location and associated costs. Unfortunately, the representative I spoke with was not only unhelpful but seemed irritated by my questions. Despite my concerns as a 71-year-old trying to make informed decisions for my family, the service felt dismissive and rushed. I expected a more respectful and transparent interaction. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Variety Funerals.
