I paid £4 on Wednesday 25th March 2025 to download my CV now I have been charged £18 for nothing as I was unable to cancel as I could not login to my account and now I have been charged even though I was told on the website no charged until a week later and was charged before a week has passed

I was told their experts had improved my CV, updated my skills and made it more suitable for recruiters and employers. What I actually received was a generic, badly AI rewritten CV that sounded unnatural and included very inaccurate information with lies.The most serious issue is that it contained things that were not true to my real experience and qualifications. That is completely unacceptable. A professional CV service should never be adding misleading or false details to someone’s personal career history.Instead of improving my CV, they stripped away genuine parts of my background and replaced them with wording that felt artificial and dishonest. It looked more like poor AI generated filler than expert professional writing.This was not a helpful service, and I would strongly warn others to check very carefully anything they receive back before using it for job applications.I wouldn’t recommend TopCV at all from this experience.
The CV writing itself was reasonably good, but the final product was disappointing from a technical perspective. The document supplied was not properly compatible with Mac systems, with missing fonts and formatting issues that meant it did not display correctly.When I raised this with support, the response was essentially that the documents are created in Microsoft Word and may not render properly on Apple devices. In my view this isn’t a satisfactory explanation — Word documents should be formatted using standard fonts so they work across both Windows and Mac.I paid for a professional service and expected to receive a clean, editable CV that works on common systems. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case here.
