Untrustworthy - they will tell you anything. , I bought a spare wheel from VauxSpares through the PartsGateway website, and paid £40.00 by Paypal.I provided my vehicle registration number, and the quote page from Vaux Spares included the wording, “Prior to dispatch, the seller will run a fitment check. If not compatible, you will be refunded or an alternative offered.”After several days, the wheel had not been delivered.I telephoned Vaux Spares, and was told that ‘the team that deals with Parts Gateway sales was ‘out of the office’, and ‘in the yard’. I asked that the team be asked to telephone me back. No one called me back.I made a second call about an hour later, to be told that ‘the team had gone to lunch and would be back in 30 mins. I asked for a callback from the team. No one called m back.I made a third call and was put through to ‘shipping’, where I was told that the wheel was with the carrier, DHL. I asked for the tracking number, and was told that it was not immediately available. The staff member agreed to email it to me. No email was received.I made a fourth call, to be told that the item ordered would not fit my car, and that I had been messaged on Parts Gateway site to this effect. There are no messages relating to this purchase on the Parts Gateway site. I asked to be refunded, and was assured that a refund would be sent on Saturday 22nd Jan.By Tuesday 25th, no refund had been received. I telephone again to be told that it would take 3 working days, and would arrive in my account on the 26th. No refund has been received.I made my 6th call on 27th Jan, and selected the ‘operator’ option. The phone was answered by someone who claimed to be the Parts Gateway dept, who told me that an e-cheque had been sent. I asked what this was. He told me it was how refunds were made to Paypal. He said these took longer that 3 working days. I asked him for my Paypal account name, and he rang off.No employee has ever stated his ;name or department when answering callsGoing via paypal for a chargeback. Failing that, Small Claims Court. Here is their Companies House reference VAUX SPARES LTDCompany number 08861759Feb 2022, So.......... after putting feedback on the Parts Gateway site, an email turned up telling me that they had again sent the wheel (you know, the one they said wouldn't fit my car). Of course, it hasn't turned up, and you will not be surprised to learn that they didn't include the tracking number. The refund they promised they had sent to Paypal ? Nope. Must have got lost in the post.February. Paypal refunded me. Paypal didn't say whether they had received the reimbursement from VSpares, or, having received no reply from them, accepted my complaint and repaid me directly.Feb 14 - email from Trustpilot, saying VS had suggested I have reported on the wrong company ! Take a look at their reviews. Over 21% are bad. The 'good' reviews tend to be short, and very similar in style. Maybe wonder who wrote them ? I won't be having anything to do with this company again. Their Company Number is further up in this review, just so's were sure I didn't mistakenly tag the wrong company.
