A group of us (over 50 years old) wanted to get away over New Year. Due to shift working etc, we only wanted to be away for 3 nights. Having never been on Vrbo before we thought we would give it a go and found what appeared to be an excellent location, and we booked.A deposit was taken and there was no issues at all.Until 12 hours later and were told that they would only take bookings at that time of year for 7 nights. Now the person who made the booking has to hound Vrbo to get her deposit back. There is nothing whatsoever on the website to state that the minimum stay was 7 nights and the fact that we could nominate the check in and check out dates and the fact the deposit was taken too backs this up.It smacks of profiteering, i.e. trying to coerce people to stay longer. I sincerely hope no-one books in at this venue over the same period so the host gets nothing. Reading the reviews of this company is no surprise - it appears to be run by incompetents who should really give up their day job.
