1 star is too high. I am an owner advertising on Owners Direct/Homeaway - now Vrbo - and have done so for 15 years. Not having received payment for a current booking, I chased and was told to verify my identity. I sent the scanned information requested last week. Vrbo request owners to upload a passport or driving licence and a utility bill but the file size of my DL was too small. When I asked for help through the chat line she cut off the chat. Still no payment so tried again today. This kind of tactic is entirely typical of the way this company always behaves. This particular process is clearly designed to place obstacles and delays in the way of vrbo releasing MY money for guests staying in MY property... money some of which incidentally they've been holding (due to travel restriction/deferral) for 20 months. This is a company without a shred of principle. Oh and when I asked the very helpful chat line person Kristine to direct me to the owners complaints procedure, she said there wasnt one!
