I purchased the Venom 22GT, and it arrived within a week. Assembly was minimal — just needed to attach the mirrors, handgrip ends, and windscreen. The battery also required combining the battery fluids since it can’t be shipped pre-charged.Before starting it up, I double-checked all fluids, tightened every bolt and screw, and made sure the back seat was securely locked. Initially, the bike wouldn’t start right out of the crate, so I reached out to customer service and started an email exchange with Dom. He was extremely helpful, walking me through the diagnostic process, and there was also plenty of online material to reference.At first, I suspected the electric choke (factory-set and capped at the adjustment screw), but after some trial and error, I realized the valves just needed a simple five-minute adjustment. While it was a bit frustrating that it didn’t start immediately, I appreciated the chance to learn more about my bike in the process.The Venom 22GT is a great-looking starter bike — easy to ride, excellent value, and I’ve received plenty of compliments on its style. As an automatic, it’s a simple throttle-and-go experience. The only minor change I made was replacing the stock reflectors (which looked more like bicycle reflectors) with some aftermarket stickers that really enhance the look.
